5 teams with highest win % in 2023 from Europe’s top 5 leagues across competitions

Most wins in 2023: 2023 has begun on a positive note for some of the top European football teams as they have been successful across competitions.

With the leagues continuing post the World Cup in a first, teams would have been wanting to start of the next half of the season in style.

Some teams have managed to maintain their good form in 2023 as well while others have dropped away post the World Cup.

Without further ado, we look at the teams with the most wins in 2023 through % victories across competitions.

Marseille

ImageThe French side have won 9 of the 12 matches played across competitions in 2023 with a win % of 75%.

Such is the reason why they are targeting the Ligue 1 and are in 2nd place behind PSG in the league table.

Sanchez and Co have reached the Quarter-Finals of the Coupe de France as well after knocking PSG out in the previous round.

Marseille have lost just 2 matches this year being in the Ligue 1 at home vs Lens and PSG.

Man United won 12 of the 16 matches played in 2023 making it a win % of 75 as well.

The Red Devils secured the Carabao Cup in their last match to lift their first trophy in nearly 6 seasons. Since the turn of the year, United has lost just 1 match being vs Arsenal in the EPL.

They have drawn to Crystal Palace, Barcelona in the EPL and Europa League Round of 32 clash as well.

But undoubtedly, Erik Ten Hag’s magic has worked for the better in Manchester with the Red Devils on a roll at the moment.

The Catalan side have won 12 of the 15 matches played this year making it a winning percentage of 80.

Barcelona continued their stay at the top of the table having only lost 1 match in the league this year.

Apart from this, they were knocked out of the Europa League by United recently. These 2 wins were the only source of sadness for Xavi’s men in 2023.

Impressive wins over Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid alongside lifting the UEFA Super Cup has ensured a smooth start in 2023.

Napoli

The Serie A team have been phenomenal this season and particularly in 2023 having won 9 of the 11 matches.

Napoli did not start the year losing an important league clash to inter but soon recovered to keep their lead at the top intact.

They remain 18 points ahead of Inter despite that loss in the title race. Another loss in the Coppa Italia saw them get knocked out by Cremonese.

These are the only 2 blemishes in a free flowing 2023 for the Italian side.

Osimhen and Co have a winning % of 82 across competitions making them one of the most in form teams in Europe.

Borussia Dortmund

The team of 2023 so far is Borussia Dortmund having won every game played across competitions.

Dortmund started the year with a 4-3 edgy win over Augsburg and have since not looked back.

The remaining 8 wins include the DFB Pokal win over Bochum and a 1st leg UCL Round of 16 win over Chelsea as well.

Borussia Dortmund is the team of 2023 under Terzic as they have combined defense and attack to form a competitive unit.

Dortmund is still in with a shout at the Bundesliga stage as well as they are jointed top of the table with Bayern.
