5 WWE superstars who have won WWE Championship but not Intercontinental title

Ever wondered that how many of the WWE Superstars have won the WWE Championship title but not the Intercontinental Championship? Well, there are plenty. Here are 5 of the WWE Superstars who have been former WWE Champions but have never hold the Intercontinental Championship:

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar returned to the WWE in 2012 after which he dominated and made his place at the WWE by defeating WWE stars like John Cena, Triple H, The Undertaker etc.

The Beast incarnate has been the holder of the WWE championship for a couple times along with the World Heavyweight championship and the United States Championship. Strangely, Brock has never won the Intercontinental Championship.

Maybe the reason is that WWE always had bigger plans for the Beast and any championship other than the WWE championship would be below the level at which the Beast plays.

Sheamus

Sheamus had experienced the fastest rise than any other superstar at the WWE. After Sheamus’ debut at the WWE, he made John Cena, the then WWE Champion his rival and defeated Cena thereby winning the WWE Championship.

Sheamus had been a 2 time United States Champion and 4 time WWE Champion but oddly he too never held the Intercontinental Championship in his career. We might see the Celtic Warrior lifting the Intercontinental championship in future but as of now, he makes the list.

John Cena

John Cena held the WWE United States Championship before becoming WWE’s biggest star. John Cena was the face of WWE for quite a long time and he was the WWE Champion during his reign too.

John Cena has been the WWE champion more times than any other WWE superstar and also held the WWE United States Championship a couple of times but Cena has never been the Intercontinental champion a single time during his career.

The Undertaker

The Undertaker has been majorly seen in non title matches throughout his career at the WWE. The Dead Man has hold the World Heavyweight title a couple of times at the WWE and also the Tag Team Titles.

The Undertaker, in most of the title matches he competed in were for the World Heavyweight title. The Undertaker has never been the WWE United States Champion as well as the Intercontinental Champion.

Batista

Batista always competed under the core title matches at the WWE rather than the mid level titles. Batista, during his career at the WWE won WWE championship and the World titles collectively for 6 times in total.

His biggest rival being John Cena led Batista gain massive popularity at the WWE. Batista was also one of the WWE superstars who never won any mid card title including the Intercontinental championship.
