Anrich Nortje Rules out of Test series against India following injury

Anrich Nortje Rules out: South African pacer Anrich Nortje was on Tuesday ruled out of the upcoming Test series against India due to injury.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has not given any clarity about his injury. No one has been included in his place in the team. Nortje has taken 47 wickets in 12 Tests, including three five-wicket hauls.

The first Test of the three-match series between India and South Africa will be played at Centurion from December 26.

According to a statement issued by CSA. “Proteas (South African) bowler Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the three-match Test series against India due to persistent injury.”

“Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to recover enough to bowl in a Test match.  He is taking advice from experts to recover from the injury. Right now no one else is being included in his place.

Anrich Nortje has also done well in the Indian Premier League. And he has been retained by their team Delhi Capitals.
