Antoine Griezmann scores in 1-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina to enter elite list; check out


Antoine Griezmann scored the winner last night as France beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 1-0 at the Sarajevo to win their second match of the Group D and top the table.
The Barcelona man scored a deft header as France got the all-important winner on Wednesday night to seal the points.
Griezmann with the goal became the 4th highest goal scorer for France with 35 goals for the French national side.
He equaled Trezeguet’s record of 34 goals with a goal against Ukraine but that became history last night as he eclipsed him with the winning goal yesterday.
ImageHe enters the list of top scorers for France which is led by the evergreen and mesmerizing Thierry Henry who had scored 51 goals for France in 123 appearances.
The ex-Arsenal man is closed followed by Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud who hit the back of the net 43 times.
Platini and Griezmann are next in line with 41 and 35 strikes respectively.
This was Griezmann’s second goal in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers campaign after his strike in their opening game draw against Ukraine 1-1.

Griezmann will look to continue providing the important goals to Les Blues as he closes in on the record set by Henry.
