Braun Strowman thrash Shane McMahon in a ‘Steel Cage’ match

Braun Strowman thrash Shane McMahon in a ‘Steel Cage’ match.

Braun Strowman defeated Shane McMahon in a Steel Cage held on the first day of WrestleMania 37. The match took place inside a fence cage.  Finishing, Strowman threw Shane McMahon from the top to later finish off his rival with the Running Powerslam and the count of three.

Shane McMahon managed to take control of the situation in the first part of the fight using various objects.  Trying to escape, Strowman was quick to avoid it.  Elias and Jaxson Ryker tried to intervene, but were pushed by The Monster Among Men from inside the cage.  Shane McMahon was about to get the victory, escaping from the top of the cage. But Strowman broke the fence from the inside and returned him to the ring to finalize the fight.

The story between Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman began in February, with Adam Pearce involved.  Little by little, the disagreement turned into something else and both had to face each other in Fastlane, but an injury (within the kayfabe) of Shane ruined the plan and the fight moved to WrestleMania 37 with a Steel Cage stipulation.

Shane McMahon, a specialist in WrestleMania

Despite being the boss’s son, Shane McMahon is a talent who has risked a lot throughout his career.  In 2016 he made his regular comeback to face The Undertaker.  It was at WrestleMania 32, where he flew from the top of Hell in a Cell to land on a table in a flight that went down in history.  Since then, with the exception of the 36th edition, Shane McMahon has not missed the big WWE appointment.  At WrestleMania 33 he lost to AJ Styles, at WrestleMania 34 he teamed up with Daniel Bryan to beat Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, and in issue 35 he beat The Miz in a Falls Count Anywhere.
