Cesaro had a good showing in the SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match.
Kevin Owens vs. Jey Uso vs. King Corbin vs. Sami Zayn vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro in the chamber match kicked off Sunday’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event from Tropicana Field.
Cesaro started the match as the second entrant and was the fourth person to be eliminated from the bout after lasing 32 minutes. He also scored the first elimination by tapping out Corbin.
I’ve been driving for an hour in silence. I don’t really know what to say. So close. Thanks to everyone who believed and still does. I still do. I appreciate you. Always

Bryan edged out the other competitors to win the match and earned a shot at the Universal Title. Roman Reigns immediately came out to defend the title. It didn’t last long as Reigns put Bryan to sleep with a guillotine choke.

Because he didn’t sign a new WWE contract in time, several weeks ago, he was originally planned to win the Gauntlet Match on SmackDown to earn a title match against Reigns at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. Shinsuke Nakamura took his spot and won the match only to be replaced by Kevin Owens. Cesaro has since signed a new WWE contract.
