Croatia play out a goalless draw vs Belgium in Group F; qualify for Round of 16

Croatia 0-0 Belgium: Croatia held Belgium to a goalless draw in their final Group F match on Thursday to seal their place in the Round of 16 phase.

Lukaku missed four great chances that could have put the game to bed. The Inter Milan striker struck the post before missing from close range.

Luka Modric and Co battled hard on the night with Gvardiol putting in a top display at the back for the 2018 World Cup runners-up to ensure their place in the knockouts of the competition.

Croatia had a penalty overturned in the first half by VAR due to a debatable offside call. Modric and Livaja had efforts saved by Courtois as well.

The 0-0 sends Croatia to the next round while Belgium is eliminated from the World Cup 2022 without a single win.
