Djokovic wins his 6th Wimbledon title, 20th major title overall ties with Nadal & Federer

Djokovic wins Wimbledon 2021: The club with the 20 major titles has a new member since Sunday. Novak Djokovic placed his sixth Wimbledon in his showcase after a hard-fought victory against Matteo Berrettini and tied for Grand Slam trophies with the famous Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer.

Always the third man, always looking for the recognition and affection of the other two, the Balkan, numbers in hand, has managed to be like them, to catch them. He has hunted them with a spectacular 2021 in which he has chained Australia, Roland Garros and Wimbledon.

At 34 years old, still in his prime, and younger than the Balearic and the Swiss, time is running in favor of the Serbian, capable of inventing and reinventing himself to fall on his feet in most occasions. It is not surprising that he celebrated it in style, going up to the box to hug himself with his work team.

He had the public against but, far from cranking him, that motivates him even more. He enters the rag because he feels in his sauce when there is voltage involved, although after the triumph he was entertained as he deserves. At his side Federer and Nadal are fencers of impeccable reputation.

The Helvetian is a craftsman and the Balearic, a titan. The Djokovic thing is a hybrid formula based on a physical, technical and mental mix.

Against Berrettini he did not need his most brilliant tennis but he did need to control his own anxiety and the adrenaline of the Italian, willing not to give up just like that in a new situation for him. In the end he submitted it for 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 in 3 hours and 24 minutes.
