EPL news: Ilkay Gündogan wins Premier League Player of the Month for February

There was more to celebrate for Manchester City as Ilkay Gündogan won the Premier League player of the Month for February and also won his second successive Player of the Month award.

Gündogan scored 4 goals and provided a sole assist in the last month to capture the top prize.

He has been in sensational form this season and the turn of the year has not made any difference to him with 12 goals and 1 assist, he has been the key to City’s pursuit of the Premier League title this season.

10 goals of which have come in this year showing his range and understanding of his role in this side.

City also won all six of their league matches in February making it even more sweeter for Pep Guardiola.

Manchester City are on top of the table with 68 points to their name, having won 21, drawn 5 and lost 3 of their matches.
