EPL Result: Liverpool draw against Newcastle United 1-1, jump to 6th


Liverpool missed out on the opportunity to move into the top 4 after they drew 1-1 at home against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
Joe Willock’s extra time striker cancelled out Salah’s goal as Liverpool dropped points once again.

Longstaff was denied with an excellent save from Allison in the first half,
In the second half, Firmino was denied by Dubravka from a tight angle.
Mané’s strike was saved by the Newcastle keeper to continue his excellent match.
ImageWilson’s strike was ruled out for handball by VAR but Newcastle persisted. Joe Willock equalized for the visitors in extra time as he struck home via a wicked deflection.
ImageWillock’s goal secured a point for the Magpies as the match finished 1-1.
Liverpool should be disappointed that they were not able to wrap this one up earlier.
Newcastle United are almost safe with this draw and are nine points ahead of the relegation zone.
Liverpool moved upto 6th place in the table while Newcastle stay 15th.
