Tottenham Hotspur won a 4-0 victory over Burnley in the continuation of the Premier League’s top competition on Sunday (28/2/2021).
Three of Tottenham’s four winning goals in the match came from a combination of the attacking trio of Gareth Bale, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min .
Gareth Bale started the Spurs squad goal feast after just 68 seconds of the game, after receiving a diagonal pass from Son Heung-min.
The superiority of coach Jose Mourinho’s squad increased when Harry Kane managed to break into Burnley’s goal which was escorted by goalkeeper Nick Pope in the 15th minute.
The England striker completed the opportunity created on the counter-attack which was preceded by Gareth Bale’s long ball.
Spurs ended the first half with a position 3-0, after Lucas Moura was able to beat Pope after firing a shot from inside the Burnley penalty box.
The deadly combination of Son Heung-min and Gareth Bale was again able to dismantle Burnley’s defense, which again failed to block the Spurs counter-attack scheme.
Starting from Son’s sprint from the area of his own defense, the ball from a South Korean player managed to find Bale in the Burnley penalty area.
Bale’s left-footed shot sent the ball into the lower right corner of Burnley’s goal, without being able to anticipate Pope, who was already dead.
Despite conceding four goals, Pope still managed to make some brilliant saves to prevent the Spurs from increasing their lead in the remainder of the second half.
