BREAKING NEWS: Wales legend, Gareth Bale announces retirement from football with immediate effect aged 33 years.

The Welshman announced his retirement aged 33 from club and country with immediate effect saying he has taken an ‘opportunity for a new adventure’ as per an official Instagram statement.

Bale represented Southampton, Tottenham, Real Madrid, Los Angeles FC in his 17-year career. 2022 saw him represent Wales for the first time in the World Cup 2022.

Gareth scored 226 goals across 664 matches while winning 22 trophies. His final national appearance was Wales’ 3-0 loss to England which confirmed their exit from the competition in the group stage.
