Ibrahimovic is back with Sweden, can he produce Milan magic on National duty?


Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to the Sweden squad after almost 5 years since announcing his retirement from international football in 2016.
The self-proclaimed best player in the world was included in Sweden’s squad for the World Cup Qualifiers which will take place from 25th March onwards with matches against Georgia followed by Kosovo and a friendly against Estonia, all for which he will be available.

The 39-year-old is the top goal scorer for Sweden with 62 goals in 116 appearances. He has featured in two World cups and 4 European Championships along the way.
The ex-Manchester United striker now playing for AC Milan has been brilliant for the Italian side this season in the Serie A scoring 14 goals and providing a sole assist in 14 appearances.
Sweden coach Janne Andersson said “First and foremost he is a very good footballer, the best we have had in Sweden. It’s obviously very good that he wants to come back.
“Apart from what he can contribute on the field, he has incredible experience and can contribute with that to the other players in the team,” he added.
Ibrahimovic has been named the Swedish player of the Year a record 12 times.
He has represented Barcelona, Manchester United, LA Galaxy, Juventus, Ajax Amsterdam, Inter, AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain in his illustrious career scoring 483 goals in 782 appearances across all competitions for these clubs.
Zlatan has won 32 trophies in his career. A player of immense quality and stature will definitely add a lot of strength to the Swedish side as they look to attain a spot in the 2022 World Cup Finals in Qatar.
