Ind vs Eng 2nd Test: India won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Test against England at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

After Shubman Gill departed on a duck on a peach of a delivery from Olly Stone. Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara rallied the scorecard with a brilliant counter-attack. Rohit Sharma looks all set for a big score, and it was long overdue. He scored a half-century in just 49 balls. Oh yes, it’s a test match!

Cheteshwar Pujara looked well settled and was playing at 21 (58 balls) when a quicker delivery from Leach took the edge from his bat and Stokes did the rest. India lost its second wicket at 85 runs.

Moeen Ali bowled out Kohli who was yet to open his account. This is for the second successive instance when Kohli was bowled out while playing in a test in India.

The scoreline reads at 106/3 at the end of the first session. Rohit Sharma is playing at 80 runs (78 balls), and Rahane at 5 runs (12 balls)
