Every season a plethora of individual and team records are broken, and new ones get created. However, there are some records that nobody wants to set. Scoring the most number of ducks is one such record. Here is a list of 5 foreign players with the most number of ducks in IPL. You’ll be surprised to see some of the names on the list.
5:Dwayne Smith
The West Indian opener hasn’t played in IPL after 2017. He has represented four IPL franchises, CSK being the latest of those. Smith had 8 ducks in 91 matches that he played in IPL.
4: Aaron Finch
Only a handful of Australians have played more T20 cricket than Aaron Finch. Finch has played T20 cricket for teams all over the planet, and surprisingly he has been part of eight different IPL teams. Finch didn’t bother the scorecard, 8 times in his 87 IPL matches.
3: AB de Villiers
The South-African legend has been one of the most successful foreign players in IPL. He operates at a strike-rate of 150 plus and an average of 40 plus in IPL. ABD is about to reach 5000 IPL runs. Unfortunately, Mr. 360 degree has 9 ducks in 169 matches.
2: Jacques Kallis
Another South-African legend made it to this unlucky list. Perhaps the greatest all-rounder of all time, Kallis represented KKR and RCB in IPL. He has 9 ducks in his 98 matches long IPL career.
1: Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell usually believes in the “all ducks or no dinner” concept. When he gets going (if at all), he takes the victories from the jaws of defeats. He has 10 ducks in 82 IPL matches, which is the most by a foreign player.
