IPL 2021: Top 5 foreign players to watch in this year’s IPL Auction

IPL 2021 AUCTION: IPL 2021 auctions are to be held on 18 February in Chennai. A total amount of more than $25 million dollars will be spent on players.

A total of 1114 players had initially registered, and then 292 players made it to the final draft.

What makes this year auctions all the more special is the availability of many key foreign players. Here is the list of 5 players who will increase the heat in the auction room this year.

5: Glenn Maxwell:

Maxwell had a quiet IPL season last year. KXIP had shown the paragon of patience with Glen and kept him around in almost all the matches but he just couldn’t find his rhythm. However, Maxwell has found his very intimidating form post IPL. It would be interesting to see if the teams show the same amount of interest for him.

4: Steve Smith:

Rajasthan Royals and Steve Smith have found their separate ways. Rajasthan Royals have announced a new skipper in Sanju Samson. Steve’s latest form across formats makes him one of the most eye-catching on auction table.

3: Dawid Malan:

We are pretty sure all the franchisees must be eyeing on this guy. He has an average of 53 and a strike-rate of 150 in T20I. England’s T20 specialist is going to participate for the first time in IPL.

2: Aaron Finch:

Aaron also had a very shy season with RCB in IPL 2020 buta we all know what he can bring to the table on his days. Finch have already played with 8 different IPL sides and there is a possibility he will end up reuniting with any of his ex-teams.

1: Shakib Al Hasan:

A comeback for the gifted all rounder in international cricket and in IPL. Shakib had to miss IPL 2020 because of the one year ban on him by ICC and Sunrisers Hyderabad released him this year. Shakib was part of Gambhir led KKR that won two IPL titles. Shakib could easily be the toughest to grab among all the foreign players this year.
