Japan 2-1 Spain: Japan made a sensational comeback from 1-0 down to win 2-1 over Spain in their final Group E match on Thursday night.
Morata broke the deadlock to score his third goal of the competition before second half efforts from Doan and Tanaka sealed the Japanese comeback.
It was Spanish dominance from minute 1 before Morata headed home from Azpilicueta’s cross to give them the lead. For the rest of the half, Spain did not give an inch to Japan as the Samurai Blue managed to them off till the break.

Japan made a second half change with Doan replacing Kubo, which proved to be a brilliant move as he equalized in the 48th minute with a fine effort into top corner.
3 minutes later, Tanaka bundled home from Mitoma’s square ball to send Japanese fans into delirium as they led.
Japan were the more dominant side in the second half and began the half by pressing their opponents further and with more energy and vigor.
La Roja chased the game from the start of the 2nd half with Japan ensuring a stunning end to this Group stage. The win ensures Japan face Croatia in the Round of 16 while Spain meet Morocco.
