Kane and Maguire score as England stay top of Group I standings with 2-1 win against Poland

England secured another vital three points as the Three Lions beat Poland 2-1 at Wembley Stadium to stay top of Group I standings.
Harry Kane opened the scoring for the hosts before Moder equalized for Poland but England had the last laugh as Harry Maguire scored the winner five minutes from time to seal the points.
The hosts dominated possession from the offing as Poland started off sitting deep.
The first big chance of the game fell to the hosts as England were rightfully given a penalty when Helik brought Sterling down in the box.

Szczesny made a fine save in the 31st minute to deny Kane’s low strike from going in.
Jakub Moder got the visitors back into the game in the second half after a huge mistake from John Stones at the back.
ImageThe defender took too long to clear his lines and the loose ball fell to Milik, who passed it onto Moder before the Brighton midfielder smashed home in the 58th minute to make England pay for the mistake.
England surged ahead with real purpose and intent to find a winner as they kept attacking the Polish goal with run after run.
Milik had an opportunity at the other end to score the winner but even after being unmarked looped his header from Zielinski wide of goal.
