Kevin Trapp UEL win: Frankfurt’s goalkeeper, Kevin Trapp has entered himself into an unwanted PSG list so to speak with the Europa League triumph.

The German goalkeeper saved Aaron Ramsey’s penalty kick to help his side win the final of the Europa League 5-4 via the shootout.

This entered Trapp into a very unwanted PSG list, as he becomes the 6th player to leave PSG and win a European Trophy.

Paris Saint Germain have been a dominant side in the domestic Ligue 1 but have failed to utilize their potential at the helm of European Football be it the Champions League or Europa League.

PSG have failed to win any of the trophies whenever they have played in Europe. Their best position was when they finished runners-up to Bayern Munich in 2020.

Kevin Trapp was a part of PSG from 2015-19 and could not win a major European Honour.

Wednesday’s triumph saw Trapp win the UEL; his first major European honour and joined this unique list.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan was part of the Manchester United squad under Mourinho that won the 2017 UEFA Europa League.

In 11 appearances, Ibrahimovic scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists during the title winning season.

Kevin Gameiro

The Frenchman represented PSG from 2011-13 before moving to Sevilla. After his move to the La Liga side, Gameiro won 3 successive Europa League titles from 2013-16 under Unai Emery.

Kevin made a move to Atletico Madrid as well where he successfully lifted the Europa League title in the 2017-18 season.

David Luiz

Chelsea managed to lift the Europa League title in the 2018-19 season as they beat London Rivals, Arsenal in the final by a 4-1 margin.

Kingsley Coman

Coman could not unleash his potential at PSG and made the move to Juventus in 2014 on a free transfer.

The Frenchman soon began to show his true potential and made a move to Bayern Munich thereafter.

In Munich, Kingsley Coman was instrumental in Bayern Munich lifting the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League title at the expense of PSG.

Coman’s only goal in the final was enough to inflict defeat on his ex-team and help the German side become European champions.

Thiago Silva

A free transfer move to the Blues in 2020 from PSG was just the move for Silva given his difficult time with the French side.

Silva’s move to Chelsea was the right move by the end of the campaign as he helped Chelsea win the UEFA Champions League in his very first season.

The Blues had faced plenty of hardship in that season which saw Lampard being sacked before Tuchel took over.

By the end of the campaign, it was all smiles for the Blues as Havertz’s goal was enough to help the London side win their 2nd ever UCL title.

Thiago Silva was a valuable addition to the side as his defensive qualities, leadership and expertise helped the Blues get through the hard-time and eventually attain glory.
