Neymar gets red card as Lille stuns Ligue 1 Champion PSG by 1-0


Lille beats PSG: Lille added three points to his locker after winning 1-0 against PSG this Saturday at the Parque de Los Príncipes . The Parisians  came to the game with a strengthened spirit after beating Olympique Lyon 4-2 at home. On the visitors’ side, Lille OSC was beaten 2-1 in their last match against Olimpique de Nimes . After the result obtained, the home team is second, while “Les Dogues”  remained with the leadership of Ligue 1.

The first half of the game started in an unbeatable way for the Lillois team, who took the opportunity to open the scoring with a goal from Jonathan David in minute 20. With this 1-0 ended the first part of the game.

Neither team managed to score in the second half, so the match ended with a score of 1-0.

The referee showed eight yellow cards and two red cards during the match. Of PSG he sanctioned yellow to Leandro Paredes , Idrissa Gueye , Neymar , Abdou Diallo and Kylian Mbappe while from Lille was reprimanded José Fonte , Tiago Djalo and Benjamin Andre . The players booked with a red card were Neymar (2 yellows) for the locals and Tiago Djalo (2 yellows) for the visitors.

After the duel, PSG ranked second in the table with 63 points, also occupying a place for access to the Champions League. Lille OSC , meanwhile, was left with the leading position in Ligue 1 with 66 points, occupying a place in the Champions League.

On the following day, the two teams will play away from home. The Parisian team will face Racing Strasbourg and, for its part, Lille OSC will face FC Metz .
