Serie A: 3 reasons why Juventus is failing to dominate in Serie A this season

Juventus could not grab their opportunities and take advantage as they drew Hellas Verona 1-1 yesterday. This does not only mean points dropped but now Juventus are 7 points off the pace in the league table with 46 points to their credit.
Juventus are third in the table following another draw and now have 13 wins, 7 draws and 3 losses. They will be disappointed with their season till now and with another 15 games to go before the season is completed, alongside victories the Bianconeri need some results to go their way too which is not the position a club wants to put itself under.

Juventus draw 1-1 against Verona, Pirlo expresses frustration after the result

We will analyze why The Old Lady are failing to dominate in the Serie A this season:
Cristiano Ronaldo- The Lone Warrior.
ImageJuventus no 7 has been at it in this season as well. He has scored 19 goals in 20 matches in the league and has been carrying Juventus on his shoulders with literally no support from his teammates. This is visible in the statistics as the next highest scorer for Juventus is Federico Chiesa with 6 goals.
Winning the league requires consistency and support from all. One man can run the show for a certain amount of time but it is physically impossible to do so for 38 games as a result of which Juventus are not clicking this season as a unit.
Paulo Dybala form
ImageThe Argentine has scored 2 goals in 11 appearances in the league this season. Dybala has not been in form this season coupled with a ligament injury that has kept him out of action since the turn of the year has increased the problems for Pirlo. Dybala is a crucial player in the set-up and his absence has left a big void for Juventus.
Lack of performances from defenders.
ImageJuventus may have conceded the least number of goals this season, but the attitude, performances and concentration from the backline have not been strong enough.
The lack of performances from the defenders coupled with injury concerns has been a let down for Pirlo this season. Bonucci, Chiellini and Danilo being out currently augments their inconsistencies in the backline. A settled and consistent back line is the need of the hour.
Szczesny’s 4 clean sheets in 18 appearances is what adds to the questions that need answering before it becomes too late.
