#5 – Vinoo Mankad

Mulvantrai Himmatlal Mankad, also known affectionately as Vinoo, was one of the finest all-rounders India saw in Test cricket. His best figures came against arch-rivals Pakistan in the 1950s, when he claimed 8 wickets for just 52 runs in an innings!

#4 – Subhash Gupte

The legendary Indian leg-spinner got his best figures when he claimed 9 wickets for 102 runs. Gupte did this against the West Indies in the 1950s.

#3 – Kapil Dev

India’s first-ever World Cup-winning captain is next on our list. Kapil took 9 wickets for 83 runs in a Test against the West Indies, recording his career-best figures in the process!
