Getting a place in a football 11 today isn’t easy but certain players have shown their willingness to work hard and have successfully transformed themselves.

This transformation has helped in their meteoric rise leading them to becoming vital members of the playing squad.

Dusan Vlahovic

Vlahovic scored 24 goals and provided 3 assists in 36 matches during the Serie A 2021-22 campaign.

18 goals of the 24 were scored for the Fiorentina side before the 22-year-old made the move to Turin.

Apart from the Serie A, Vlahovic found the net once in the UCL and 4 times in the Coppa Italia.

He scored one of the two goals Juventus scored in the Coppa Italia final, but was not enough as Inter beat them 4-2.

However, the youngster hopes to continue the prolific campaign next season and become the rising force of the Bianconeri.

The Norway international finished off a rather successful campaign individually for Dortmund.

Haaland scored 29 goals across all competitions as he wowed the Black and Yellow fans one last time.

Haaland finished as the 2nd top scorer in the Bundesliga with 22 strikes to his name despite injuries mid-way through the season. He even scored 4 goals in the DFB Pokal and 3 in the Champions League.

Manchester City have acquired the services of the Norwegian in the current transfer window and hope to see him fire next season.

The Uruguayan centre-forward notched up 34 goals in 41 matches across all competitions for Benfica.

He helped Benfica finish 3rd in the Liga Portugal with 74 points and was their top scorer with 26 goals from 28 matches.

Nunez also scored 6 goals in the Champions League from 10 matches as Benfica secured a Q/F finish.

The new Liverpool recruit scored twice in the Allianz Cup to cap off a brilliant season.

The Frenchman remained of Europe’s hot properties as he once again sizzled in PSG colours scoring 39 goals across competitions.

His goal-scoring prowess was enough to help the Parisians lift another Ligue 1 title by scoring 28 goals in 35 matches.

Mbappé scored 5 and 6 goals respectively in the Coupe de France and Champions League as well but could not help his side to the summit.

The entire saga between the player and his supposed move to Real Madrid was witness to the world before he agreed an extension with the French team.
