UCL: Bayern Munich beat Lazio 4-1 as Lewandowski sets record

Lewandowski was the star of the show as Bayern Munich beat Lazio 4-1 at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday to have one foot in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring when he latched onto Musacchio’s loose backpass to tap it in the first.

He now has 72 goals in the Champions League going past Raul’s 71 and is only third in the list behind Ronaldo and Messi with most goals in the competition.

Musiala made it 2-0 by scoring in the bottom corner post which Sane added the third from close range after Coman’s shot was saved by the keeper.

Things went from bad to worse when Acerbi scored an own goal to give the away side a 4-0 lead.

Correa pulled one back when he slotted past Neuer to make it 4-1 on the night but it was too little too late.

The defending champions are all but through to the quarters courtesy this huge win.
