Match Preview:

The Gunners are under pressure after two defeats in the English League. After losing 2-0 at the headquarters of the Brentford promotion team, they lost at home with the same score at the hands of Chelsea.

Meanwhile, The Baggies are unbeaten in their four games at the Championship this month. After a 2-2 draw in Bournemouth, they grabbed two home wins over Luton Town 3-2 and Sheffield United 4-0. Last, last weekend, won 2-1 at Blackburn Rovers.

Fight background

Under Valerien Ismael, West Brom have started the season well. They played very effectively with a 3-4-3 formation, being the main contenders for promotion to the Premier League. Three wins after a draw proved that they cannot be underestimated.

Appearances in the last game should also be the Gunners’ attention ahead of the game. Alex Mowatt, the player who moved with Ismael from Barnsley to West Brom, scored from a volley to Blackburn Rovers in the first minute. Matt Phillips marked his team’s lead in the first half, before the hosts scored in return in the second half.

In the Arsenal stronghold, Mikel Arteta is under pressure. They must be able to secure a win over West Brom to boost their confidence ahead of the English League away game against defending champions Manchester City next weekend.

Team News

West Brom can no doubt play Matt Clarke. He suffered a hamstring injury and had to be pulled off the field when facing Blackburn last weekend. In the back line, Ismael also had to lose Semi Ajayi.

Adam Reach and Grady Diangana are possible options on the left if Ishmael is going to make a change. Meanwhile, Cedric Kipre has a chance to get a minute to play on defense.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will be back strengthened by their flagship striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who returned after recovering from Covid-19. However, Willian and Ben White still had to undergo isolation after being infected with the corona virus.

Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Magalhaes, Hector Bellerin, and Thomas Partey were all ruled out due to injuries.

Alexandre Lacazette and Alex Runarsson have returned to full training after recovering from Covid-19. However, it looks like Arteta has not dropped the two players since the first minute against West Brom.

Kieran Tierney and Gabriel Martinelli, both of whom must be pulled off the field against Chelsea. They don’t seem to be playing for this weekend’s game.

As for Martin Odegaard, the new player who was permanently recruited from Real Madrid last week, has the opportunity to make his second debut with the Gunners despite the possibility of starting from the bench.

New goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale also has the potential to make his debut. While Reiss Nelson and former West Brom loan player Ainsley Maitland-Niles are also predicted to step down as starters.

Estimated player order

West Brom: Button; Cyprus, Ajayi, Bartley; Furlong, Mowatt, Livermore, Reach; Phillips, Grant, Diangana

Arsenal: Ramsdale; Maitland-Niles, Chambers, Mari, Tavares; Xhaka, Elneny; Nelson, Smith Rowe, Pepe; Balogun
