WWE Day 1 Match Card: Day 1 is turning into an event that is generating good ticket sales for WWE and the State Farm Arena. As reported by Dave Meltzer, a journalist for Wrestling Observer, ticket sales are close to 10,000.
The pace is pretty good, considering it’s not one of WWE’s big pay-per-views and seeing the numbers the company has garnered in its latest shows.

The average price per ticket remains strong at the moment, figures that have been reinforced over the weeks due to interest in the show. As a highlight, Roman Reigns will defend the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar, a fight that has gained more strength since The Tribal Chief fired Paul Heyman.
However, the belief is that that fight was already sold and the push in recent weeks is due to the inclusion of Bobby Lashley in the four-way fight for the WWE Championship.
Regarding the fight for the Universal Championship, the latest rumors indicate that Paul Heyman will be key in Day 1. While they could reserve their intervention for WrestleMania 38, it is very likely that Heyman will make an appearance to help Roman Reigns win the fight and reveal that his dismissal was a montage.
So far there are 6 confirmed matches for WWE Day 1, 6 of them headlines. In addition, the fight for the Intercontinental Championship between Shinsuke Nakamura and a rival to be determined will be added, which will come out of a Gaunlet Match that will be held tonight on Friday Night SmackDown.

There is also speculation with a fight for the SmackDown Women’s Championship between Charlotte Flair and Toni Storm, and the fight for the Raw tag team titles between RK-Bro and two rivals to be determined that will come out of the fight between Los Mysterio and Street Profits that Presumably it will be held next Monday on Monday Night Raw.
