WWE News: Ric Flair believes that WWE should not be in a hurry with Gable Steveson

Ric Flair believes that Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson should only step into the WWE ring when he feels comfortable.

Steveson, who was hired by WWE last year following his Olympic win, was drafted to RAW as part of last year’s Draft.

He still hasn’t appeared on television since he was assigned to the Monday night show.

Ric Flair discussed Gable Steveson on his show Wooooo Nation Uncensored, where he revealed that the Olympic gold medalist needs time to perfect his performances in the pro wrestling ring. The Nature Boy believes that WWE should not rush Steveson:

“I know he’s been to the Performance Center, but I don’t think he’s fully prepared to debut in a WWE ring, the wrestler has been all this year preparing not only for the Olympics.

But also for the NCAA and another season of college wrestling. I wouldn’t let him do anything until he’s really good.”

WWE should spend a year building Steveson

“Myself, if I was in charge, I would spend a year building it because you can’t learn it overnight.

The only guy I’ve ever seen – we talk about him all the time – who learned overnight is Kurt Angle But I’m not saying Gable can’t and doesn’t have the ability, I don’t know.
