WWE releases Andrade during Fastlane Event

WWE NEWS: Andrade’s soap opera already has an end. WWE issued a statement after Fastlane to confirm the departure of the Mexican wrestler from the company. Andrade asked for the release of his contract a couple of weeks ago after not appearing on television for more than five months, at first WWE denied the request, but after a couple of weeks they decided to release the Mexican.

WWE accepted Andrade’s request, who is now a free agent for the first time in nearly six years. The fighter signed for Vince McMahon’s company in 2015 debuting in NXT on January 8, 2016. The Mexican began his NXT career with a very low profile, however, everything changed with his alliance with Zelina Vega. Along with Vega, Andrade managed to rise to the top in the gold and black brand offering the first five-star match of NXT alongside Johnny Gargano. At the Wednesday mark, Andrade managed to have a maximum company belt for 140 days.

Andrade rose to the main roster in hopes of being the company’s next big Latin star. The Mexican arrived on the main roster in April 2018 with his NXT character, but did not succeed. Andrade had a low profile on the main roster and managed to reign as the US champion.

Andrade’s departure from WWE was advanced by the wrestler in the moments before Fastlane . The fighter used his Twitter account to advance that he had good news, implying that he was going to be allowed to leave the company.
