WWE Smackdown Result & Highlight: 14th May 2021| Full Result & Analysis.

WWE SmackDown Result: SmackDown starts directly with the greeting of commentators Michael Cole and Pat McAfee.

Jey Uso is in the ring and is received lot of boo from the ThunderDome audience. Jey remembers that his brother Jimmy doesn’t respect the “Head of the Table”. Hence, they will do the family business themselves. Jey calls out Roman Reigns.

While the Tribal Chief makes his way to the ring with Paul Heyman, a video review of the events from the previous week follows.

Reigns mentions her problems to Jey, one of which is his brother. Reigns then talks about Cesaro, who wanted one of the best wrestlers in the world. Heyman confirms this. Roman likes Cesaro, but would people really want him in his place?

Reigns had Heyman confirm that Cesaro has never played a singles match for a championship. He put the focus on Jimmy Uso. Reigns turns his attention to Jimmy, who comes out.

Jimmy wears a “Nobodys B ** ch Shirt” and cannot understand Reigns’ big sayings, while his brother accepts it all. Jimmy offers to join Jey, unsure if Reigns will make it past Cesaro on Sunday.

Jey tries to convince Jimmy because Reigns is her cousin and his only concern is the family. Reigns interjects that if Jimmy is all about family, then he should be about him too, because of everything he’s done for their family. Reigns wants to know from Jimmy if he really doesn’t think he can beat Cesaro. Jimmy sticks to his opinion.

In further conversation, Reigns encourages Jimmy, because he and his brother could win the tag team title in order to get the same “Head of the Tables” status. But it can’t go the way Jimmy imagines it, because Reigns is the one who brings the food to the table and also the face of the company.

Reigns laughs at the idea that Jimmy thinks he could be the man here and mocks him. If he thinks he is the man, he should show the whole world that he can defeat Cesaro. Jimmy challenges Cesaro to a match. Although he paused for a year, he would like to play the match.

Cesaro enters the stage wearing a suit. The audience cheers. Cesaro accepts the challenge. He’ll defeat Jimmy tonight and Roman Reigns on Sunday to become the new WWE Universal Champion. This is followed by a duel between Reigns and Cesaro from afar.

Video review: Tamina (w / Natalya) defeated Reginald (w / Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler) by DQ last week after Baszler had promoted Tamina from the top rope.

1. Match
SmackDown Women’s Tag Team Championship
Natalya & Tamina Snuka defeated Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) after Snuka’s Suerfly Splash against Jax – the referee sent Reginald to the backstage area during the match after he tried to distract him – TITLE CHANGE!

Winners and new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: Natalya & Tamina Snuka

After the match: Kayla Braxton steps into the ring and interviews an emotional Natalya and Tamina Snuka. Natalya explains that this title win is for the people who think their dream is over. But it’s never too late! Nattie is proud of Tamina. Snuka thanks Natalya and everyone else. Fireworks are set off as Natalya and Tamina hold up the titles.

Backstage: We see Commander Azeez and the WWE Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews. Crews set out to present Azeez with a Nigerian Medal of Honor.

Backstage: Kayla Braxton wants to know from Paul Heyman whether Jimmy can win today’s match against Cesaro. Heyman can’t answer that question, but he knows Roman Reigns can beat Cesaro on Sunday.

In the ring is reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez for the Nigerian Medal of Honor ceremony.

The commander stands on a podium and crews talks about honoring the title and his homeland. Crews goes on to mention that he will remain a champion for life. For Azeez’s hard work and loyalty, Crews hands him a Nigerian Medal of Honor as the boos grow louder. Azeez leans forward as Crews puts the medal around his neck.

Big E appears on the video screen and interrupts the ceremony. Big E mocks both of them. Crews shouldn’t feel comfortable because he stole his title. Big E wants to take back the IC Championship.

Sami Zayn enters the stage and asks for a microphone. Crews is angry, but Sami tries to calm him down. Kevin Owens suddenly storms out. Sami Zayn flees into the ring before being knocked out. Owens follows Sami and is attacked in the ring by Crews and Azeez.

Big E storms into the ring and attacks Azeez. Big E can kick Azeez out of the ring. Owens gives Big E and Crews a super kick. Sami goes KO and wants to give his rival a Helluva kick, but Owens knocks Sami down with a stunner. Then the finisher of Big E supposed to follow against Apollo Crews, but the Commander brings him to safety.

Video review: Dominik Mysterio (w / Rey Mysterio) defeated Dolph Ziggler (w / Robert Roode) via Small Package 2nd match last week.

After the match:

Michael Cole is in the ring with Bianca Belair to discuss Belair’s match against Bayley at WrestleMania Backlash.

Belair talks about the people who have doubted her all their lives. Then she wants to know where Bayley is. Cole presents a look back at last week’s beatdown.

Then Bayley appears on the video screen. Bayley and Belair are teasing each other until Bayley explains that she will not be in the ring tonight because of the Belair attack last week and will not show up again until Sunday to take the title from Belair.

 Belair believes Bayley is scared and upset because she won the title at WrestleMania. After a short further discussion, Bayley explains that fairytale reigns don’t end well. On Sunday she will let Belair’s fairy tale end.

Backstage: King Corbin polishes his crown.

3. Match
King Corbin defeated Shinsuke Nakamura via pinfall in the triangle lock

After the match: Corbin kicked Nakamura out of the ring, but when the King let himself be celebrated, Nakamura returned. Corbin collects the Kinshasa. The “King of Strong Style” sits on Corbin’s crown.

Backstage: Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez confront Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville. The IC-Champ calls for consequences after today’s events. Pearce can understand this and so Crews can choose his next week’s opponent against whom he is putting his IC title on the line.

Crews looks unhappy, but Deville says Pearce could also set up a Fatal Four-Way Match. Pearce thinks this is an excellent idea and schedules a Fatal Four-Way Match for the next week between Apollo Crews, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens & Big E. When both heels go off, Pearce tells Deville once again that she shouldn’t undermine his authority in any way. Deville goes away too.

Backstage: Nakamura is in possession of the crown of King Corbin and admires himself with it in a mirror.

Video: Aleister Black reads another chapter from the book “Tales from The Dark Father”. “The Lesson” is the name of the chapter. He talks about the ordeal and how it can consume or purify you. His father spoke of the cruelties of life and taught him “the lesson”. He was wronged. In the end, he could have taught him a lesson, but it didn’t come because he was only seen as a spectator. This ends Black’s cryptic promo.

Backstage: Jimmy Uso interview. He assumed that after his return he would be active again as a tag team with his brother. Despite everything, he will prove to Reigns what he is capable of when he meets Cesaro right away.

The commentators go through the current WrestleMania backlash card.

4. Match
Cesaro defeated Jimmy Uso by DQ after Roman Reigns intervened in the match and attacked Cesaro.

After the match: Reigns continued to beat Cesaro and first promoted him against the ring post and then over the commentary desk.

Jimmy asks Reigns what this is about and leaves the ring, but Reigns follows his cousin and confronts him. Reigns makes it clear that nobody is interested in these practice matches, because they are all about the big money matches. However, Jimmy has a problem with it because it’s all about Reigns.

During the ongoing discussion, Jey attacked in the ring by Cesaro. Reigns returns to the ring and knocks Cesaro down. Then Reigns asks Jimmy to get into the ring, but he stops in front of the ring and watches as Reigns collects two uppercuts. The neutralizer connected to follow, but Jey can prevent this by attacking Cesaro. Jey also asks Jimmy to get into the ring, but Jimmy stops.

Cesaro takes the opportunity and knocks Jey down with a European uppercut. When Jimmy wants to get into the ring, Cesaro sends him from the apron. Reigns seizes the moment and walks out of the ring.

Cesaro grabs Jey and tells Reigns that he’ll take the exact same thing on Sunday. The neutralizer against Jey follows.

“Do something!” Calls out Cesaro Reigns, but the Tribal Chief stays with Paul Heyman on the stage while Jey receives another neutralizer from Cesaro. Reigns looks thoughtful as the final SmackDown before WrestleMania Backlash ends with the triumphant Cesaro.
