WWE Smackdown Result & Highlight: Welcome to new live coverage of Friday Night SmackDown. We remind you that tonight Toni Storm will challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
In addition, Paul Heyman will talk about his dismissal, while a fight with Gaunlet stipulation will decide the next contender for the Intercontinental Championship.
WWE releases a video with what happened last week when Roman Reigns fired Paul Heyman from his advisory role.
Kayla Braxton interviews Paul Heyman,a pre-recorded moment. Paul Heyman reproaches Braxton for saying that he was ‘publicly’ fired by Roman Reigns. Heyman, looking haggard, uses that word several times.
Heyman isn’t sorry for telling Roman Reigns ‘the truth’, because he’s there to tell him the truth sometimes, even if it’s what he doesn’t want to hear. “My role is to protect the Championship.”
He assures that Reigns is the best Universal champion in history, but he needs to be protected from Brock Lesnar. Regarding his future, Heyman comments on several options, but none of them are viable for him. “I believe in Roman Reigns,” he insisted. “Maybe it’s time to acknowledge that my career is over.”

Michael Cole announces several of the matches we will see tonight, including a Street Fight between Drew McIntyre and New Day vs. The Usos and Madcap Moss. They give way to Charlotte Flair, and that means that we are going with the first fight for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
SmackDown Women’s Championship
Charlotte Flair vs. Toni Storm
The combat begins very even, without a clear dominator. The champion decides to attack the challenger on the canvas and gets a visible advantage.
Flair tries to humiliate her rival, but Toni gets her rival off her back, although Flair applies a Big Boot to re-dominate the fight before going to commercials. Upon returning, Flair tries to humiliate Storm by slapping her and reminding her of who she is. “Is that all you’ve got?” Repeats Flair.
Storm applies a German Suplex, looks for the account, but only reaches two. Flair’s Moonsault, with double jump, looks for the count, but only reaches two. Flair tries to apply the Natural Selection, but Storm reverses it.
Shy reaction from Storm, who ends up receiving the “Figure Four Leg Lock”. Storm reverses it and slips out of the key. The fight moves to ringside where Flair ends up knocked out with the post. Returning, Flair looks for a count of three using the ropes, but the referee sees her. Exchange of rollups that end with Flair taking the victory by the count of three.

Backstage, The New Day reunites with Drew McIntyre. The Scotsman remembers that today is a great day. The three of them joke about what is going to happen tonight at the 34th Miracle Street Fight.
Rick Boogs is on stage to welcome WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. The Japanese will be an eyewitness to the Gaunlet Match that will decide the new contender for the title.
They show us a new promo of Xia Li, who says that it doesn’t matter who Natalya is because he will defeat her and end her because she is “the protector”.

Participants: Ricochet, Cesaro, Mansoor, Erik, Ivar, Drew Gulak, Sheamus, Sami Zayn, Jinder Mahal, Shanky, Angel and Humberto

Despite being cooler, Sheamus fails to overpower Ivar, who attacks him with several massive moves. Sheamus recovers and manages to beat his rival by the count of three.
Although it is difficult for him to apply it due to his injury. Cesaro wants to apply the Neutralizer, but is distracted by Ridge Holland. Sheamus applies the Brogue Kick and takes the victory by the count of three.

Ricochet takes advantage of that moment to hit Sheamus from behind and surprise him for the count of three. Humberto makes his entrance and attempts a quick victory after Sheamus indiscriminately attacked Ricochet, but the referee does not let him attack as his rival is not yet in a position to fight.
Humberto wants to win on the fast track, but is surprised by Ricochet, who eliminates him. Jinder Mahal makes his entrance, but is quickly eliminated on the count of three.
