2020/21 UEFA final to take place in Porto, 6000 fans allowed, check more details


UCL final Porto: The 2020/21 UEFA Champions League final will be held at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto on 29th May, 2021.
ImageThe European final between Manchester City and Chelsea was supposed to be held in Istanbul this season but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, UEFA shifted the venue.
ImageUEFA announced that the final would be relocated to Porto in order to allow fans to attend the match.
6000 fans from each team will be allowed to attend the final following all protocols as the world slowly opens to normalcy after the Covid-19 pandemic.
UK Government added Turkey’s name to the list of countries where citizens are barred from traveling due to the spread of Covid.

Since then, talks began between UEFA and UK Gov to move the UCL final to Wembley. But finally, a decision on UCL final in Porto was made and accepted.
ImageManchester City and Chelsea will travel to Porto for the ultimate season finale match before players disperse for the Euros 2020 event in the summer.
Pep Guardiola’s men beat Paris Saint Germain in the semi final while Chelsea beat Real Madrid to take their place in this final.
ImageThis would be City’s maiden appearances in the Champions League final while Thomas Tuchel’s men would be in their 2nd final.
Chelsea has won the title in 2011/12 season when their beat Bayern Munich on penalties in the final.
ImageTuchel would look to end the season on a high for Chelsea with the Champions League title.
He has beaten Pep Guardiola twice this season across 2 competitions, FA Cup and Premier League.
A hat-trick of wins over the Spanish boss would be the icing on the cake for the Blues.
Porto will be the final destination for the two sides as we hope to see football back to full crowds soon.
