WWE NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver first night ended with a really exciting note. New champions took their spots at the WWE NXT whereas the non title matches being evidently brutal. Here are 5 things that we learnt from the latest episode of NXT Takeover:
Raquel Gonzalez: The new NXT Women’s Champion
Raquel Gonzalez defeated Shirai in the main event of the NXT Takeover last night. Shirai’s reign as the NXT Champion for 205 days was ended by Raquel. Shirai took control of the match in the beginning but it was in the end where Raquel stole the show.
What Rhea Ripley, Dakota Kai and Toni Storm couldn’t do, Raquel did it. Raquel Gonzalez changed the face of the NXT’s women’s division last night after winning the title.
MSK: The new NXT Tag Team Champions
MSK won the Triple Threat Tag Team contest for the NXT Tag Team Championship last night. This was more of a high flying contest between the three teams. MSK won the match by using their cunning.
Wes Lee did the work for the NXT while he made his dives outside the ring to avoid interference. Wes Lee and Nash Carter pulled amazing teamwork to lift the titles and become the new NXT Champions.
Same old NXT UK Champion
Last night, Walter beat Ciampa and retained his NXT UK Championship. The match throughout was vicious and brutal where both the superstars were out for blood. Overall, both the superstars gave each other a tough fight. Ciampa fought well but lost to Walter due to Walter’s big size and incredible strength.
Bronson Reeds will face Johnny Gargano for the North American Championship
Bronson Reeds will face the North American Champion Johnny Gargano today at the second night of NXT Takeover. He got his shot at the North American Title by winning the 6-Man Gauntlet match yesterday on the first night. Johnny Gargano would have to look out for Bronson as Bronson would be all in tonight.
Dunne won
Last night, Pete Dunne won against Kushida in a singles match at the NXT Takeover. Both the superstars ended up in a heated fight where both held each other in a Kimura Lock. The match took on for a while before Dunne hit the home run and won the match.
