5 things we have learnt from the latest episode of WWE Smackdown

WWE Smackdown last night featured the most waited contests of all time. In addition to all of the confirmed events, Cesaro’s challenge towards Roman Reigns was quite unexpected. Meanwhile, previously rumoured to be a Tag Team contest, the brawl between Rey Mysterio and Otis turned out to be a singles match.

Here are 5 things that we have learnt from the latest Smackdown episode:

Cesaro challenges Roman Reigns

Friday Night Smackdown witnessed Roman Reigns’ addressing the WWE Universe after his victory at Wrestlemania 37th. Roman Reigns went on to expressing his attitude over the challengers he has faced over the time.

Meanwhile, Cesaro makes an entrance and shocks the WWE Universe. After defeating Seth Rollins at the Wrestlemania 37th, it was unexpected for Cesaro to challenge Reigns. After a while, Cesaro got a match with Reigns’ cousin Jey Uso at the main event of Smackdown.

Jey Uso, quite a match for Cesaro gave a tough fight. Out Of nowhere, Seth Rollins appeared and hit Cesaro leading to a disqualification. This suggests that the old feud between Rollins and Cesaro hasn’t ended yet.

Rey Mysterio Won against Otis

Rey Mysterio with his son Dominik by his side, fought Otis on Friday Night Smackdown in a singles match. Mysterio’s high flying moves were competing with Otis’ slams. The comparison between both the superstars’ physicality before the start of the match humiliated Rey.

Moving ahead, Rey Mysterio capitalized some of his moves onto Otis and likewise did Otis. Towards the end of the match, the forced 3-count pin by Rey onto Otis led Rey to the win.

The Street Profits almost got their hands onto the Smackdown Tag Team Titles

The Street Profits faced Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler for the Smackdown Tag Team titles this Friday at Smackdown. Dawkins and Ford owned the match with their teamwork and high flying. Robert & Dolph were watching the Street Profits take away their titles from them.

As Expected, towards the end, the distraction led by Robert & Dolph onto the Street Profits worked. Following this, Dolph Ziggler landed his finisher and won via pinfall.

Sami Zayn called out Kevin Owens

Last night, Sami Zayn addressed the WWE Universe and called out Kevin Owens. Following this, Kevin Owens arrived after which, the feud between the two turned into a match. Surprisingly, Sami Zayn being the one calling out Owens was running away from him throughout the match.

Kevin Owens slammed Zayn in the same way as he did at Wrestlemania 37th. Zayn ran away from the ring towards the end leading to a count-out. Kevin didn’t stopped at winning. He instead ran behind Zayn, got him back at the ring and landed his stunner. This suggests that the rivalry is yet to resume further.

Bianca Belair celebrates her Wrestlemania victory

In addition to the appraisal of Pat McAfee’s arrival at the WWE as a commentator, WWE also witnessed a celebration of Bianca Belair’s Championship victory at Wrestlemania 37th. The new Champion was accompanied by the Street Profits before their match against Robert & Dolph.
