Youngest Players T20 WC: As the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 begins this Sunday, there are many youngsters who will be featuring in this tournament. We look at 5 such players!

The T20 cricket’s biggest extravaganza is back, as the T20 World Cup begins this Sunday! There are many debutants and/or youngsters in this edition, like any other.

Here are 5 such players who are the youngest to feature in the current edition:

#5 – Rahul Chahar (India – 22 years, 73 days)

The Indian leggie was initially picked over the senior pro Yuzvendra Chahal because of his recent good performances. However, in the UAE leg of IPL 2021, he witnessed a dip in his form but still managed to retain his spot.

He’s also the youngest member of the Indian squad playing in the World Cup. He will look to get the poor IPL behind him, and perform well on the big stage!

#4 – Mohammad Naim (Bangladesh – 22 years, 55 days)

Second youngest on our list is Mohammad Naim, the left-handed batter from Bangladesh. He does not have a lot of experience in the international circuit, but his List A record has been good and he has been a consistent run-getter there.

#3 – Shaheen Shah Afridi (Pakistan – 21 years, 193 days)

The left-arm pacer from Pakistan has been one of their few consistent performers over the last couple of years!

In 30 T20Is, he has taken 32 wickets for his nation at a decent average of 27.41. He will be key to his team’s chances in the tournament, even though he’s still just 21!

#2 – Mujeeb Ur Rahman (20 years, 202 days)

The Afghani mystery spinner has so far largely remained in the shadow of the other Afghan superstar Rashid Khan. However, he does possess a good record himself!

In 19 T20Is that he has played so far, he has taken 25 wickets at a decent average of 17.72 and a phenomenal economy rate of 6.15!

He will be a treat to watch if he works well in tandem with Rashid.

#1 – Rahmanullah Gurbaz (19 years, 322 days)

It is another Afghan cricketer who rounds up our list. In fact, he is the only teenager to feature in this tournament!

Gurbaz recently became the first batsman born in this century to score a century on his ODI debut.
