Cesaro gets his biggest opportunity, will face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship.
WWE Wrestlemania Backlash: During the WWE Throwback SmackDown special broadcasts via FOX. The news came as a confirmation that Roman Reigns will defend the Universal Championship against Cesaro at WrestleMania Backlash, the company’s next pay-per-view.
After facing Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman and The Usos, Cesaro suffered a surprise attack from Seth Rollins before their heads up tonight. Suddenly, Hall of Fame member Teddy Long confirmed that he would give “The Swiss Superman” a shot at the universal title if he defeated “The Vision.”
The two superstars met in the first match tonight. The Usos remained ringside until being scolded by Seth Rollins, who refused to use his help to emerge victorious.

Cesaro would take advantage of this situation and apply his Neutralizer to a distracted Rollins for the victory on the count of three. “The King of Swing” will thus get his first starting opportunity against a Roman Reigns who has just expelled Daniel Bryan from the blue show.
WWE WrestleMania Backlash will take place on May 16 from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. Fans will be able to observe this event via pay-per-view and through WWE Network (Peacock in the United States), as well as in the virtual audience “ThunderDome” mode. Here is the billboard of the event to date.
