Cristiano Ronaldo UCL: Cristiano Ronaldo has broken a record even before the start of Manchester United next UCL clash against Villarreal.

The Portuguese with his 178th appearance tonight becomes the most capped player in the history of the Champions League, overtaking Iker Casillas (177).

Ronaldo made his 177th appearance in the UCL on MD 1 as Manchester United lost 2-1 to Young Boys in Switzerland and registered a goal that day.

Cristiano will lead the line for Manchester United tonight as they eye a winning return to the Champions League against the Yellow Submarine.
