Czech Republic Euro 2020: Czech Republic enter their 10th European Championship as a surprise package and look to perform better than the Euro 2016.

In the Euro 2016, Czech Republic came last in their group standings and were knocked out early.

Overview

Czech Republic has a squad which is filled with experienced players and can be one of the surprise performers this season.

A repeat of the 1996 Euro season should be their blue print for success as this was the campaign when the Czechs came runners-up.

The attack options of Czech Republic have been in form this season with Pekhart scoring 22 goals in 25 matches for Legia Warszawa in his domestic season.

Players like Soucek, Jankto and Darida enjoyed good domestic seasons for their respective clubs and aim to bring in all their experience into execution come the start of the Euro campaign.

Czech’s defence is their strong point as it consists of experienced players, who performed well in the recent season.

Overall, this is a Czech side which can create troubles but will need to settle their combinations soon and hit the ball running as soon as they hit the park.
