Simon Kjær is the captain for the Denmark team in this competition while Kasper Schmeichel is his deputy.

A third captain in Christian Eriksen is also announced with the Manchester United mid-fielder’s experience being vital.

Denmark announced their 26-man squad for the FIFA WC 2022 as follows:

Goalkeepers: Kasper Schmeichel, Oliver Christensen and Frederick Rønnow

Defenders: Simon Kjær (C), Joakim Mæhle, Rasmus Nissen Kristensen, Daniel Wass, Jens Stryger Larsen, Andreas Christensen, Joachim Andersen, Victor Nelsson and Alexander Bah

Midfielders: Mathias Jensen, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Thomas Delaney, Christian Eriksen and Christian Nørgaard

Forwards: Kasper Dolberg, Andreas Skov Olsen, Robert Skov, Andreas Cornelius, Jonas Wind, Mikkel Damsgaard, Martin Braithwaite, Yussuf Poulsen and Jesper Lindstrom

The Reds and White make their return to the World Stage and will be looking to create another solid impression.

Denmark has grown leaps and bounds as a footballing nation with their attractive style of play and resilient attitude.

The fixtures are as follows:

22nd November: Denmark vs Tunisia (06:30 PM IST), Education City Stadium

26th November: France vs Denmark (09:30 PM IST), Stadium 974

30th November: Australia vs Denmark (08:30 PM IST), Al Janoub Stadium

Denmark reached the Round of 16 in 2018 Russia and will look to progress further this time.
