Edge to Face Roman Reigns at WWE Money in the Bank 2021 for WWE Title
WWE Money in the Bank 2021: During the broadcast of the last episode of Talking Smack, broadcast on WWE Network and Peacock this afternoon. One of the most important matches of Money in The Bank has been confirmed: Edge will face Roman Reigns in a fight for the Universal Championship.
Before the show ended, Kayla Braxton and Pat McAfee were interviewing Seth Rollins on set. Kayla interrupted the interview to make way for a scoop, a recording that was made last night after the Friday Night SmackDown show.
Edge approached Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce and asked for a rematch of the match at WrestleMania, this time at Money in The Bank for the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns. Pearce and Deville welcomed him and accepted the fight.

Edge already had his interaction with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37. The Rated R Superstar won the men’s battle royal at Royal Rumble and challenged Roman Reigns. However, due to a series of circumstances, Daniel Bryan ended up being part of the fight, turning it into a triple threat. Roman Reigns won the triple threat and retained the title.
