ENG tour of PAK: ECB will then decide in the next 24-48 hours whether the Pakistan tour should proceed or not as per the latest report from Cricbuzz.
England tour of Pakistan in October might have some question mark as well with NZC & ECB use the same security consultants.
However, earlier today, the New Zealand cricket board informed us. They had been alerted to some security alert. And they have unilaterally decided to postpone the series.
PCB and Govt of Pakistan made fool proof security arrangements for all visiting teams. The security officials with the NZ team have been satisfied with security arrangements made by the Govt of Pakistan throughout their stay here.
PAK vs NZ Series Cancelled
Now the series between Pakistan vs New Zealand have been called off. Players have been asked to stay in hotel rooms as per ESPN Cricinfo report. Howerever, it is also noted that as per other reports also there – 3 players have been found Covid-19 positive in New Zealand camp.
NZC chief executive said “Player safety is paramount. And we believe this is the only responsible option to cancel the tour.”
