Joe Root latest Records: The second match of the five-Test series is being played between India and England. England captain Joe Root continues his stellar performance. He scored a century while batting brilliantly against India.

Along with this, he made many special records. This is the 38th century of Joe Root at the international level. Root equals Alastair Cook’s record. Both the cricketers have become England’s highest century scorer.

England captain Joe Root has scored this seventh century against India.  Earlier, he had scored a century in the first match of the series and scored 109 runs. Ricky Ponting, Steve Smith, Gary Sobers and Vivier Richards have scored more Test centuries against India than Joe Root. These players have scored eight centuries against India.

Alastair Cook left behind

Joe Root has crossed the 9 thousand runs mark in Test cricket on the 3167th day of his debut, it has become a record. He surpassed Alastair Cook who touched this figure in 3380 days. Former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid has now reached number three in this list.  He did this feat in 3661 days.

But in terms of age, Joe Root is ahead of Alastair Cook. Cook touched this figure in 30 years 159 days, while Joe Root touched this figure in 30 years 227 days.  In this case, the great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is at number three, who completed 9,000 runs in Tests in 30 years 253 days.

3rd Most Centuries by a English Man

Joe Root has become the third England player to score the most centuries.  Alastair Cook has scored 33 centuries, while Kevin Pietersen has scored 23 centuries. Root has equalized Wally Hammond, Colin Crowday, Geoffrey Boycott, Ian Bell. All of them have scored 22 centuries.
