Eng vs Ind Test Series: Stuart Broad rules out of test series following calf injury

England vs India, 2nd Test: England fast bowler Stuart Broad ruled out of the Test series against India. Broad has suffered a right calf injury. Due to which he will not be a part of the rest of the Test matches.

Fast bowler Saqib Mahmood has called as cover in place of Broad. The second Test match will take place on between the two countries from August 12. In such a situation, the absence of Broad can become a problem for England.

Stuart Broad has informed about the injury on his Instagram account. Describing this incident himself, he wrote, “Things can change very soon. Was training happily a few moments ago.

The next moment I jumped from a hurdle and the heel of my right foot fell on the ground strangely. It hurt as if someone had hit my leg very hard from behind with a rope.”

Stuart Broad continued, “I turned to James Anderson and asked why you hit me, but when I realized he was nowhere near me, I knew I was in trouble. According to me, I have a Grade 3 Cough Injury.

This season ends here. I am very disappointed that I will not be able to play the Test series against India, but now the focus is on the series against Australia. I will take my time. No hurry. ”

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) issued a statement on Wednesday saying, “Fast bowler Broad has suffered a right calf injury, due to which he has been ruled out of the Test series against India.
