England Euro 2020: Gareth Southgate’s England have begun their preparations for the UEFA Euro 2020 as the Three Lions aim to win their maiden Euro title.
The Three Lions were eliminated in the Round of 16 against Iceland 2-1 in the 2016 edition of the Euros.

After a lot of troubles with regard to fitness and availability of players, Gareth Southgate announced the 26-men contingent that will take the park in pursuit of continental glory.
Harry Kane will captain the side while Jordan Henderson stands in as his deputy.
The England Euro 2020 squad is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford, Sam Johnstone.
Defenders: John Stones, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kyle Walker, Tyrone Mings, Reece James, Conor Coady, Ben Chilwell, Kieran Trippier.
Midfielders: Mason Mount, Declan Rice, Jordan Henderson (Vice-Captain), Jude Bellingham, Kalvin Phillips.
Forwards: Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Raheem Sterling, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka.

The notable absentees from the squad are Jesse Lingard, James Ward-Prowse, Ollie Watkins, Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Southgate has a good core of experienced as well as young and potential match winners.
The Dortmund duo of Sancho and Bellingham are expected to fire in their maiden Euro event.
Phil Foden, Mason Mount have been brilliant for their respective clubs and aim to continue their excellent form for England.

Henderson returns from injury so does Maguire as a result of which England have the experienced fellows back.
The likes of Arnold, Walker, James need to continue with their fine seasons as England aim to win their maiden Euros title.
The strike force is a solid one as Kane, Rashford, Calvert-Lewin make up a fiery front-line.
Phillips enjoyed a good season at Leeds United and is a potential starter for Southgate’s side due to his consistent performances.

England are in Group D alongside Croatia, Czech Republic and Scotland.
Their fixtures are as follows:
13th June: England vs Croatia (06:30 PM IST)
19th June: England vs Scotland (12:30 AM IST)
23rd June: Czech Republic vs England (12:30 AM IST)
England and Scotland are the hosts for the matches of Group D. (London and Glasgow).
The Three Lions play two warm-up matches against Austria and Romania on 3rd and 6th June respectively before they get their tournament underway.
