FIRST HALF

Germany kicked off the first half and were bright in their start. They were patient as they looked to carve an opening.

England were slow and took their time to get into the contest as they set out with a 3-4-3.

Sterling had the first effort on goal from 25 yards but Neuer turned it around the post with a smart stop.

Maguire, in the very next minute had his moment from a corner kick. The Manchester United defender could not direct his header well as Neuer made a comfortable save.

The England defender once again spared a glorious chance as he headed wide of goal from Trippier’s corner.
