Manchester United’s home match against Liverpool was postponed after the Red Devils fans earlier entered Old Trafford in an anti-Glazer protest.
The club’s involvement in the breakaway European Super League was the reason for the protests.
United supporters stormed onto the ground and let-off red smoke bombs and led anti-Glazer chants.
Due to Covid-19, spectators were not allowed to enter the stadium but such protests ensured that safety and security measures could not be controlled.
Hence, sanitization and cleanliness protocols needed to be followed and finally the decision was made to postpone the encounter.
