EPL Result: Greenwood’s brace guides United to 3-1 win over Burnley

Manchester United beat Burnley 3-1 at home on Sunday in the Premier League to go within 8 points of table toppers, Manchester City.

Greenwood’s brace followed by Cavani’s goal pocketed the points but not before Tarkowski gave a glimmer of hope to Burnley.

Tarkowski equalized for Burnley in the very next minute with a header from Westwood’s corner-kick.

Greenwood doubled his tally for the night to send United 2-1 ahead after his shot took a massive deflection and hit the back of the net.

Cavani sealed the points in extra time when he tapped home from close range to ensure United win 3-1.

With this victory, United have won five matches on the bounce in the league and keep pressure on City.
