Portugal Euro 2020: The defending champions, Portugal is set to defend their crown in the delayed European Continental event which begins on 11th June.

The Portugal team coached by Fernando Santos announced the 26-man squad for the Euros 2020.

Cristiano Ronaldo will captain the side while João Moutinho is named vice-Captain.
The squad is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Anthony Lopes, Rui Patricio and Rui Silva
Defenders: João Cancelo, Nélson Semedo, José Fonte, Pepe, Rúben Dias, Nuno Mendes, Raphael Guerreiro
Midfielders: Danilo Pereira, João Palhinha, Rúben Neves, Bruno Fernandes, João Moutinho, Renato Sanches, Sérgio Oliveira, William Carvalho.
Forwards: Pedro Gonçalves, André Silva, Bernardo Silva, Cristiano Ronaldo (Captain), Diogo Jota, Gonçalo Guedes, João Félix and Rada Silva.
Portugal Euro 2020 squad has a nice blend of youth and experience and would be one ofthe favorites in the upcoming tournament.
Bruno, Dias and Félix have performed brilliantly in their respective leagues.
As a result of which they can take the momentum into the world tournament and excel at the biggest stage of them all.
Moutinho, Pepe and Carvalho provide the necessary leadership and experience to the squad.
In addition to the above players, the likes of Mendes, Sanches, Rada and Bernardo Silva provide the creativity and energy to Santos’s squad.

CR7 will lead A Seleção and will play his 5th consecutive Euro competition.

FIXTURES
The Ronaldo-led side is stacked up in Group F with the likes of Hungary, Germany and France.
There is quality on show from each and every side and the Portuguese side would need to be on their toes from their opening match.
The fixtures are as follows:
15th June: Hungary vs Portugal (9:30 PM)
19th June: Portugal vs Germany (9:30 PM)
24th June: Portugal vs France (12:30 AM)
The hosts for the Group F matches would be Munich and Budapest.
A Seleção will play two practice matches in the lead up to the Euros against Spain and Isreal on 4th and 10th June.
