Bruno Fernandes record: Bruno Fernandes created a record last night with the goal in the 4-2 loss at home to Liverpool as United stay 2nd.
His strike broke the record for most goals by a Premier League midfielder in a single season across all competitions.
ImageBruno scored his 28th goal of the campaign surpassing Frank Lampard’s 27 goals for Chelsea in the 2009/10 season.

Fernandes found the net with the aid of a deflection from the outstretched leg of Phillips to create history.
ImageThe Portuguese has been United’s best player in his first Premier League campaign scoring 18 goals and providing 11 assists.
Apart from the Premier League, he scored 5 goals in the UEL, 4 in UCL and 1 in the FA Cup.
ImageFrank Lampard held the record when scored 27 goals in a successful campaign for the Blues in 2009/10.
ImageLampard scored 22 in the league, 3 in the FA Cup followed by a goal each in the UCL and Community Shield.
His contributions helped Chelsea win the Premier League, FA Cup as well as the Community Shield that season.

The results have not fallen in place for United and they lost successive home matches against Leicester and Liverpool.
He has been involved in 44 goal involvements in 50 top-flight matches for United scoring 26 and creating 18 since his arrival.
