Ronaldo Saudi League: Cristiano Ronaldo’s future is left in the mud after his early contract termination with Manchester United before the WC.
At 37, Ronaldo isn’t the player he was and has had a disappointing 2022 season across competitions for club and country as well.
The striker started off the bench in the Round of 16 contest vs Switzerland recently, which left a lot of questions answered.
Reports suggested the Portuguese striker was set to join Al-Nassr in 2023 following the World Cup in a contract worth $200M a year till 2025.
However, Ronaldo post the match yesterday denied these reports and still has the motivation to play in Europe.

Lack of Interested European clubs
Since the 2021-22 season ended, Ronaldo has been on the lookout for new clubs after United finished a paltry 6th in the Premier League.
But there weren’t any clubs willing to go for the 37-year-old due to high wages, team combinations and other reasons.
Saudi doesn’t have the same level as Europe but still can help his chances of finishing off on a high.

If a move transpired, it would be equivalent of an aging European player going to MLS. The competition may not be on European level which could give CR7 a chance to continue breaking records.
Ronaldo has scored a combined 819 goals and can continue the same in Saudi Arabia due to the level of competition.
