Free Fire World Series 2021 to reduce the duration of the series following COVID-19.
The Free Fire World Cup was scheduled to begin on May 22. However, the tournament organizers once again modified the competitive calendar. This time, the duration of the Free Fire will get affected.
Originally, the competition was played May 22-30 with eight days of the best international Free Fire. On the road to glory were 22 teams from 14 different regions seeking a percentage of the 2 MDD in prize money.
However, although the intentions were to have the best in Singapore. The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) forced some to leave the tournament weeks ago. What left a total of 18 squads that still keep their eyes on glory.

Since the removal of the teams responds to situations beyond the control of the company. There is financial compensation for the four organizations affected. However, the instances of the competition changed a bit in terms of equipment quantity.
The play-ins phase will begin on May 28 instead of May 22. It has reduced the duration of the tournament to just three days to select the Top 3 who will reach the final group. Here, the 12 best in the world will play a series of games culminating in the new king of Free Fire.
This is the first edition of the Free Fire World Cup since the end of 2019. As we know, COVID-19 catastrophically affected esports in 2020, canceling some of the most important events. Garena’s battle royal to face trouble. But this 2021 looks different for the esports scene.
It is worth mentioning that it is not the only edition of the Free Fire Worlds Series will play in 2021.

The Free Fire Worlds Series Singapore matches will kick off at 08:00 MX / CO, 09:00 CL, 10:00 AR and 15:00 ES.
